1) The raw material of coke oven bricks is the foundation.
The raw materials of coke oven bricks should be of stable quality, not easy to loose and easy to control when fired, and should also have considerable reserves for long-term use. By selecting appropriate raw materials, coke oven bricks can simplify the manufacturing process, facilitate operation, stabilize quality and reduce costs. Using two or more kinds of mixed silica bricks with different properties has gradually been adopted. Using mixed silica to make silica bricks has the following advantages: first, the chemical composition can be adjusted; second, the particle composition can be adjusted, and the economy can be achieved. Reasonable gradation; the third is that it is easy to control the expansion and crystal transformation of brick embryos during sintering (the expansion curve of each silica when heated is not completely consistent, and this difference can be used to elongate the temperature zone for expansion, so that the expansion can be dispersed; The fourth is to reduce costs.
(2) The grain size gradation of coke oven bricks should be reasonable.
The particle size gradation of coke oven bricks needs to consider two aspects: one is the qualification rate, and the other is to facilitate the crystal transformation of quartz to achieve the expected mineral composition. Most silicon brick factories now use a smaller critical particle size of 2~ 2.5mm, no more than 3mm, and a considerable proportion of fine powder. According to a research report from the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, when the critical particle size of recrystallized, dense and medium-speed silica is greater than 3mm, the firing cracks are serious.
(3) Coke oven bricks attach importance to mineralizers.
The mineralizer of coke oven brick is a necessary factor for the formation of pyroquartz phase. The choice of mineralizer involves the formation amount of pyroquartz phase, which also determines the performance of silicon brick.
(4) Coke oven brick mixing should have kneading effect.
The mixing process not only involves the problem of mixing, but also requires a certain kneading of the mud, which can improve the density of the brick, so as to optimize the physical and chemical indicators of the silicon brick to obtain a denser silicon brick.

(6) Dry the coke oven brick embryo at low temperature.
Low temperature drying can improve the qualified rate of coke oven bricks to a certain extent, and it is also a key step that cannot be ignored.
(7) The firing of coke oven bricks is the key.
The true density of coke oven bricks can standard the excellent performance of silicon bricks to a certain extent, and to obtain lower true density silicon bricks, a reasonable firing system must be adopted, including firing temperature, heating rate and holding time.
